Ofland Escalante – Fine Art Landscape Collaboration

Overview

Ofland Escalante partnered with me to create a visually rich commercial campaign rooted in fine art landscape photography. The project’s goal was to strengthen the resort’s visual identity by capturing imagery that reflected the natural ethos of southern Utah’s wild terrain—spanning Grand Staircase–Escalante, Bryce Canyon, and Capitol Reef National Park.

Objective

To craft a collection of landscape-driven visuals that elevated the Ofland Escalante brand beyond traditional influencer or UGC content—communicating authenticity, depth, and the adventurous spirit at the core of their experience. The images were created for use across collaborative posts, web and advertising campaigns, and brand identity updates.

My Role

As the lead photographer, I was responsible for creative direction, composition, and location scouting across more than 200 miles of remote desert and canyon terrain. Accompanied by my personal BTS photographer, I guided and directed behind-the-scenes documentation to capture the creative process in motion.

Challenges

The project covered vast distances and required adapting to unpredictable natural lighting and terrain. While I had prior experience photographing in the region, each destination demanded new exploration and a fresh visual approach to maintain authenticity and cohesion across the campaign.

Approach

I approached this project with a mindset of deep immersion—hiking extensively through remote trails, studying analog maps, and exploring the geography firsthand to create visuals that spoke to Ofland’s ethos. My focus was on understanding the why behind Ofland’s brand: the balance of wilderness and retreat. By diving into that emotional layer, I produced fine art–inspired imagery that elevated the resort’s narrative beyond influencer aesthetics, grounding it in ethos-driven visual storytelling.

Results

The campaign generated strong engagement across Ofland’s digital platforms, particularly on landscape-focused posts where the imagery stood out without relying on influencer presence. The success of this collaboration led to two follow-up projects and established a long-term creative partnership, aligning fine art principles with commercial brand storytelling.
